Born and raised in Miami, Stacy B. Rubel, earned both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Florida. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Criminology, with a minor in Education, and received her J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
Stacy is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and serves on the Executive Council of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section (RPPTL) of The Florida Bar. She is currently Co-Chair of the Ad Hoc Guardianship Law Revision and Immediate Past Chair of the Guardianship, Power of Attorney and Advance Directives Committee. Stacy is also a past Chair of both the Probate Rules Committee of The Florida Bar and the Dade County Bar Association’s Probate & Guardianship Committee.
Stacy concentrates her practice on probate, trust and guardianship administration and litigation. She represents personal representatives, trustees, guardians (both professional and non-professional), beneficiaries, creditors and other interested parties. Her litigation work includes will contests, fiduciary appointment disputes, removal actions, breaches of fiduciary obligations, and tortious interference with inheritance rights.
In addition to her litigation practice, Stacy is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Civil Circuit Mediator and is available to mediate probate, trust, and guardianship disputes, as well as other civil matters.
Stacy is also a frequent lecturer on probate, trust and guardianship topics. Her writing has been published in LexisNexis Florida CLE Publications, The Florida Bar Journal, and ActionLine, the official publication of the RPPTL Section.
