Stacy B. Rubel, a partner at Virgil & Rubel LLP, was born and raised in Miami prior to attending the University of Florida for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Stacy obtained her B.A. in Political Science and Criminology, with a minor in Education, and received her J.D. from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law.
Stacy is a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). She serves on the Executive Council of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar (RPPTL), and is Chair of the Guardianship, Power of Attorney and Advance Directives Committee and a Co-Chair of the Ad Hoc Guardianship Law Revision Committee. Stacy is also a past Chair of the Probate Rules Committee of The Florida Bar and a past Chair of the Dade County Bar Association’s Probate & Guardianship Committee.
Stacy concentrates her practice on Probate, Trust and Guardianship Administration and Litigation. She represents personal representatives, trustees, guardians (both professional and non-professional), beneficiaries, creditors and other interested persons in probate, trust and guardianship matters. She litigates adversary claims including, but not limited to, will contests, disputes over appointment of fiduciaries, removal of fiduciaries, breaches of fiduciary obligations, and tortious interference with right of expectancy.
Stacy is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Civil Circuit Mediator. She is also a frequent lecturer on probate, trust and guardianship topics and has been published in LexisNexis Florida CLE Publications, The Florida Bar Journal, and ActionLine (the RPPTL publication).
